Michael H. Lord is pleased to announce a show of photographs by Mike Rebholz which opens March 26 and continues through April 26, 2010. The artist reception will be held on Wednesday, March 31, from 6 to 9 pm, during the annual Palm Springs Photo Festival.
As a professional photographer for thirty years, Mike Rebholz has worked in both advertising and architecture. In addition, his provocative images have been exhibited in galleries and museums. In DECADE, Rebholz chronicles American life through vernacular architecture, landscape, and portraiture in the new millennium's first ten years.
"There is a rush to homogeneity in current American culture," Rebholz says. "These photographs represent my defense of the individual in that standardized culture. It is fascination with the voice of the individual that brings me to where I photograph."
